Merry Christmas! Today was a fun day of family, gifts, and food. It was also a great time to think about Christ and what he gave up to come to earth as a human. I pray you all get to read Luke 2 & 3 this holiday season. It is amazing that God was so loving and careful to make sure that everything he had ever said would come true in the coming of the Messiah. I’m so impressed with Mary’s faith and trust in what had to be a scary situation. I’m so impressed that Joseph found a way to show mercy before he knew that the baby was God’s own son. I’m impressed by the dedication of the wise men that believed God’s word so much that they bet what had to be a hard trip on the Child being there. I’m impressed with how God used regular folks, the shepherds near by to be his witness of the birth of his son. I’m impressed that God would care so much for the lost that he would send his perfect Son to live with us in harsh conditions and die on a cross for our sins.
If you don’t know Jesus, I pray that you would know that he is God, He is the Answer to all our issues, all our burdens, all our sins. He is the greatest gift ever given.
