The Book of Romans Chapter 3

Chapter 3 in the book of Romans basically gives us a pretty thorough explanation of the condemnation of all men.

Key Passages driving this point home are:

Romans 10-18 “There is none righteous, not even one; There is none who understands, There ins none who seeks God; All have turned aside, together they have become useless;  There is none who does good, There is not even one, There throat is an open grave, with their tongues they keep deceiving, the poison of asp is under their lips, whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness; Their feet are swift to shed blood, Destruction and misery are in their paths, And the path of peace they have not know.  There is no fea of God before their eyes.”

What a tough passage on the state of our hearts and where we are.  How foolish of anyone to believe that the law can save them, for they are all transgressors of the law.

Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

We are all arrows that miss the target we don’t even get there.  We need something for this condition?

Praise God that he was ahead of us on providing a way out.

Romans 3:24-3:28 “being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus; Whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in his blood through faith.  This was to demonstrate His righteousness because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed.  for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just as the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.  Where there is boasting?  It is excluded.  By what kind of law? of works? No, but by the law of faith.  For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the law.”

God thanks so much for creating me, and in spite of my lack of gratitude, you saved me while I was still an enemy to you.  Your grace is sufficient, the price paid for my sins is sufficient.  I acknowledge you as my King and Savior.  Nothing is needed by me, I can’t keep the law I will continue to miss the mark.  But Christ does not miss, and his death and resurrection have conquered all of my woes.  For this the Lamb is Worthy of our praise and worship.  The Lamb of God needs nothing more from me for my salvation because nothing added to the cross is needed.  As Jesus said  “it is finished”
