The Book of Romans Chapter 2

Romans 2:16 says there will be a day when God judges men.  We will have no lawyer, we will have no pardon other than the blood of Christ to rest in.  If we judge others we will be judged in that same way.  And while we feel justified in judging others I constantly fall short of how I judge others.  I end up taking my sin and justifying it and in doing so I show myself more mercy than my neighbors.  This is not only not consistent but it in itself is showing partiality to the people I like the most (namely me).

Christ help me to not judge by the law or by my set of rules but by your grace.  Help me show others your love and mercy.

And most of all thanks for showing me mercy at the cross, instead of the judgement I deserve.
