Today as I was reading Roman’s Chapter 1, I came across a couple of things that stood out to me. In verse one Paul the writer takes no time is describing what he is doing here.
“Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God”.
Did you catch that he was set apart for the gospel of God. I couldn’t help but think how many of us Christians realize this is our calling. We were not saved and left for any other reason than to be set apart from non-believers for the gospel of God.
My second observation is in 1:16
“I am not ashamed of the gospel because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes first the Jew , then for the Gentile.”
If we are set apart for the gospel then we can’t be ashamed of our calling because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.
Christians we are set apart by God for the Gospel, lets be bold and proclaim his power over death, Satan, and sin with his glorious victory on the cross, and his proving of who He said He was by raising himself from the dead.
Thank you Lord Jesus for paying the price for our sins so that we may know the richness of your love.
